Green but not Great
Nice that this stuff is good for the environment, but it really does not work very well. It does not dissolve on contact like others I've used, you need to use a brush or something. I tried a sample pack of 5 different items from this company, and, unfortunately, was not impressed with any of them.

It Cleans
This cleaned off the brake dust about as well as any other wheel cleaner I've used. Nice to know it's good for the environment - unlike my brake dust.

Wow - it removed brake dust just as it says it will!
Let me just start by saying that I'm not a big fan of washing my car's wheels. The few times I've washed my car, I just hit the wheels with the same sudsy sponge as the rest of the car. Then as I saw some of these products in a local shop and decided to give my car a proper washing, and this Green Earth Technologies stuff sounded perfect for my eco-conscious.

Previous wheel cleaning experience: I once tried to wash my wheels properly years ago - probably about 50,000 miles ago. A friend of mine had some fancy wheels stuff (can't remember what) and it removed the loose dust great, but there was spots of really touch (baked on or oily?) brake dust that woudn't come off no matter what. We tried and tried, and then used a degreaser, etc. No dice.

Using this stuff: Thus, it was with much apprehension that I approached my now, much filthier, wheels. I followed the directions, squirted the wheel, waited 30 seconds and then attacked with paper towels. Just as before all the light dust came off, but then to my amazement, so did those tough spots. They didn't exactly dissolve right away, but with a second squirt of this Green Earth Technology wheel cleaner and a firm rubbing, the bad spots disappeared. I was shocked. Sure I had to rub it firmly, but I couldn't make any headway into it years ago - and now it should be way worse! This stuff worked so well that my wheels with 75,000 miles looked like new. I was so pleased I went and cleaned the wheels on my parent's car since it was so easy!

While admiring the 8 shiny new alloys glistening in the sun, I did something I've never done before: I went back to the car shop, and got the Green Earth Technologies Tire Cleaner/Polish. As I said, I've never been much of a wheel cleaner, and I always thought that people who polish their tires are well out of touch with reality. But when I saw the perfect wheels, just like new, I wanted the full effect. A few squirts later, the package was complete: dead sexy wet-looking rubber on the tires and perfect shimmering wheels. (Admittedly dorky, but it looked great.)

I can't say that I'm going to become a dedicated wheel-washer now, but this stuff was so easy to use and effective, there's no reason I shouldn't wash them a little more often. Nicely done. I got a bunch of the Green Earth Technologies cleaners, and I'm well impressed - and writing reviews to boot. I might even try drinking a shot of each of them, just because I can!
