36-year-old resident of Poland will remember his last visit to Germany by car for a long time. On the A9 motorway in Thuringia Pole’s car experienced malfunction and broke down. He began attempts to catch a car, hoping that someone would take his car in a tow. Pretty soon one driver slowed down near the unlucky Pole and offered his assistance.

«He suggested to drag me to the next car service that was just a few kilometers from the place where my car broke down - later the Pole told, - and removed a towing rope from the trunk». Polish driver very quickly had to regret that he had received help from his German colleague. Just a few seconds, after they started the German suddenly began to increase speed. Continuing pulling the car of an unfortunate tourist, German driver accelerated to 120 km / h, while all the time overtaking other vehicles and constantly changing lanes. Crazy race ended when the two cars, connected with the rope, crashed into the fence which separated the road directions. Fortunately, none of the drivers was injured, although both cars were severely damaged. Arrived on the place of incident, police immediately arrested the German “racer”. He is charged with establishing dangerous situations on the road and in performing actions endangering someone else’s life. The motives of a German, who decided to make a crazy towing race, are not reported.

As a leader in quality, Kayaba is paying much attention to range - high quality, high output and flexibility allow it to support the current proposal from the 2800 models of cars.
Among the drivers and experts have long known that the legislator of quality standards in the world of automotive industry is the Toyota company. The requirements for quality components for the Toyota far exceed the requirements of ISO 9000. That is why 52% of all Toyota models come with shock absorbers KYB. Such models as the Lexus 400, Lexus 200, Lexus Coupe, Camry, Corolla, Carina / Corona, Supra and many others.
Mazda company, another leader in the automotive market is also equipped with shock absorbers KYB. Famous Mazda models like 323, 626, Xedos (and this range is not limited with this), are also fitted with KYB shock absorbers. Beside Toyota and Mazda there is still Nissan, Subaru, Suzuki, Honda, Daihatsu, where the proportion of KYB shock absorbers consistently ranged from 30% for the Subaru up to 48% for Suzuki. And of course the reliability of Mitsubishi Pajero is also provided with Kayaba shock absorbers. 90% of all models produced by Mitsubishi are equipped with Kayaba.
In Europe, Kayaba activity has grown since 1978, when the Kayaba Europe GmbH (d. Meerbush, Germany) was established. Of course, the Kayaba factory in Spain is not so great in comparison with the Japanese factory in Gifu. If a factory in Gifu produces 3.5 million shock absorbers in the month, the European branch (Spanish factory) produces “only” 1 million of shock absorbers every month. All Kayaba shock absorbers are produced only at these two plants.
Stable quality and reliability of Kayaba shock absorbers attracted European automotive compan
ies. Right now almost 80% of the original shock absorbers of Renault is Kayaba (Renault Laguna, Megane, Megane Scenic, R5, R19 and others). Ford Europe company sets KYB shock absorbers on Fiesta, Escort, Transit, etc. Volkswagen Group - on Polo, SEAT, Panda, Ibiza, Cordoba, Toledo, Marbella. Fiat concern - on Croma, Lancia Thema, Lancia Kappa. A high quality assessment can be judged by the fact, that KYB shock absorbers are used in Peugeot 406 and Peugeot 607.
The company’s products are Kayaba is characterized, above all, by quality. It is important to note that all the products are placed on the same conveyor and therefore absolutely there is no difference between the shock absorbers, coming to the car assembly, and those that are offered to the market of spare parts. Strict quality control system and a high level of production for maximum reliability of shock absorbers is not dependent on operating conditions - whether the European roads, or American or Russian.

BOSAL is one of the leading manufacturers of automobile exhaust systems for the conveyor, as well as for the secondary auto parts market. BOSAL also produces tow hitches, roof trunks, steel pipes, storage equipment. In addition, BOSAL took a leading position in the development of modern technologies of production of catalytic converters. Leading car manufacturers are working with BOSAL: Audi, General Motors, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mazda, Renault, Saab, Seat, VW, Volvo. The company is the holder of several prestigious title of “Best supplier of the year” from the group GM.
BOSAL started from 1923, when the father of current chairman of the company began assembling auto parts, including exhaust systems. Company name comes of two parts – caster’s name - BOS and the name of the place where production was organized - ALKMAAR.
The company has four research centers located in different regions of the world, as well as 43 plants and 23 distribution centers, which employ over 7000 workers. Each year company produces more than 500 kinds of new parts for exhaust systems.
BOSAL offers a complete set of all forms of silencers, catalysts, clamps and suspension dampers, issued a series of mufflers with “aggressive” appearance which recall to sports car sound. Standard BOSAL mufflers are made of special steel, which ensures effective protection against external corrosion under severe climatic conditions and carefully constructed internal components minimize the noise produced by exhaust gases. All BOSAL exhaust system are tested for compliance with the requirements of European Community standards on noise and back pressure, such as ISO 9002 and QS 9000.

At the car show in Bologna, Ferrari general manager Amedeo Felisa and Brembo director Alberto Bombassei made a joint press statement all standard models of Ferrari will include brake discs from Brembo, made from a special carbon-ceramic material (MCF). The legendary Italian sports car manufacturer has tested the first carbon-ceramic discs at the Enzo model five years ago, and later began to offer installation of brakes on them as an option for other models. Brake systems that use brake discs of the MCF have many advantages.

Using of the MCF for disk manufacturing to achieve the best braking performance virtually do not change over time, even with intensive use. One of the most obvious benefits of MCF - excellent wear resistance - allows for a much longer time to retain the same sense of immediate reaction to the car, pressing the brake pedal familiar to every driver.
High wear resistance and durability of the brake discs of MCF makes them much more cost-effective compared to conventional. They can significantly lower weight by 15 kg, and even more, to reduce unsprung weight, which favorably affects the dynamics of the car and ride comfort, not to mention improving the productivity of the machine in a whole.
In the model 430 Scuderia, for example, a disc-based ECM, developed specifically for this car. Their dimensions specifically tailored for extremeFerrari productivity creations: front disc diameter increased by 18 mm compared with the F430, a specially designed form allows you to dissipate heat, generated during braking of such a powerful machine more effectively.

The main advantage of McPherson -type suspension in the compactness and low manufacturing cost.

McPherson suspension consists of a cross-arm and amortizatorn rack, resting against splashes wing and working on the principle of “swinging candle”. In McPherson suspension spring is actually on the axis of a rotary device, and the details of carrying out damping and the guide features are combined into a single assembly unit. Thanks to those features McPherson suspension is approximately 20% lighter than two-armed construction, accordingly, has reduced its cost and made it especially attractive for usage in large-scale low-cost cars, primarily in compact class, where the space under the bonnet is extremely limited. McPherson Pendants show themselves well in operation, primarily because of the simplicity and low cost of maintenance and repair.
But the kinematic characteristics of the suspension McPherson are far from perfect, and high friction between the damper rod and its guide deteriorates damping. Serious bad points of McPherson are also lower resistance to prolonged roll during braking, as well as the effort and volatility transfer on the elements of the car body. For those reasons, many car companies increasingly move attention to two-armed suspension design, and Mercedes-Benz at the new E-class moreover, turned to four-armed front suspension.
